Microneedling Vampire Facials at Dr L'Art

Microneedling & Vampire Facial

Indulge in the transformative realm of microneedling, a gentle yet potent procedure designed to awaken your skin’s natural rejuvenation abilities. At Dr L’Art Aesthetic Clinic, we invite you to discover the power of microneedling, a minimally-invasive treatment that harnesses the potential of your body’s collagen production.

Microneedling is a revelation in skin therapy, tiny, sterilized needles gently pricking the skin. This procedure is meticulously designed to stimulate collagen production, which lies at the heart of youthful and radiant skin. A true testament to modern innovation, microneedling is your path to achieving a refined texture, diminished wrinkles, and a complexion that radiates vitality.

What is a 'Vampire Facial'?

The unique ‘Vampire Facial’ at Dr L’Art combines microneedling and platelet rich plasma (PRP) for ultimate skin rejuvenation.

Your own blood is drawn up and processed in a medical and sterile environment. Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is harvested from the sample and applied onto the skin whilst the microneedling procedure simultaneously takes place.

Through this unique technique, your own blood plasma which is rich in growth factors is delivered through the micro channels created by microneedling directly into the deep layers of the skin.

A Vampire Facial is a cutting-edge procedure that combines two powerful techniques: microneedling and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy. During microneedling, incredibly fine needles, typically ranging from .5 to 2.5 millimeters in size, are gently applied to the skin’s surface. Don’t worry; these needles cause minimal discomfort and only penetrate the topmost layer of skin. The purpose of these tiny needle pricks is to create controlled “micro-injuries” that stimulate your skin’s natural healing process, encouraging the production of essential proteins like elastin and collagen. Simultaneously, this process creates pathways for PRP to deeply penetrate the skin, maximizing its rejuvenating effects.

FAQs

Am I suitable?

Microneedling & Vampire Facial are indicated for a range of skin conditions including scarring, rough skin texture, dull skin tone, large pores, wrinkles and fine lines.

They are excellent treatments for improving skin quality both in the face and on various parts of the body.

What does the procedure involve?

Microneedling involves pricking the skin with tiny sterile needles. The procedure is minimally invasive and associated with only mild discomfort.

Topical anaesthesia is applied 30 minutes prior to the procedure for additional comfort.

When a vampire facial is performed on top of microneedling, an additional step of blood taking takes place and the blood sample is processed for serum extraction.

When can I return to normal activities?

Mild to moderate swelling and redness are common after the procedure. However, most people do not find them interfering with their normal activities such as work and study. After a day, make up can be applied to conceal any ongoing redness.

When will I see results?

Collagen induction and production take some time. Results are usually noticeable 4-6 weeks following the completion of a course of treatments.
